Joey Haydock

"I want to be able to help my athletes get better little by little every day in all aspects of hockey. My goal is to help the athlete fully understand the game of hockey from all angles by developing skills, hockey IQ and what it takes to be a great hockey player."

My Story

Joey was born and raised in Stevens Point, WI where he played the majority of his youth and high school hockey for SPASH. After high school he went and played 3 years of junior hockey around the country. After his junior career, Joey attended UW Stout and played 2 years, then transferred to UWSP playing his final 2 years and winning the 2016 National Title in Lake Placid, NY. Joey has experience coaching as he coached SPASH boys hockey for 2 years. He also has experience developing players at the youth levels through private lessons and camps.

Joey is available for 1-1 and/or small group sessions. Joey's objective is to develop the athlete's skill set that will transfer to on-ice success, working on shooting, stickhandling skills, creativity and skating stride efficiency. I will teach the athlete the importance of these skills, and all he asks from the student is to come to each session with a positive attitude, great work ethic, and a readyness to have fun.

Joey enjoys playing a lot of golf, spending time out on the water during the summer, and continues to play hockey in his free time. Also, any type of competitive game he can be a part of, he's there. Joey looks forward to working with his clients and seeing them develop and succeed!
