My Story
Melani comes to CTI with over 28 years of teaching and participating in group exercise classes. By taking many different formats of classes, her passion to teach and bring it to the fitness world grew. While her career in teaching began with floor aerobics, step classes, spin classes, and kickboxing. She has now expanded to Zumba, a variety of Water Exercise class formats and Yoga. What people do not realize is the group exercise industry is always working to grow, change and sometimes redevelop old ideas with a new kick (i.e. Floor Aerobics to Zumba) to get them into the fitness studio to stay active and become healthy. While having fun in a group setting to keep them motivated.
This is what drives my passion to continue to teach. With the help of many professional group exercise trainers and developers of classes over the years, I have been taught how important it is to teach the class so people will challenge themselves to work hard, stay committed and have fun.
Melani’s background consists of certificates of completion in: Floor Aerobics, Step Reebok, Reebok Spin, Kickboxing, Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Barre and WaterinMotion. She is certified in AFAA Group Fitness, AEA Water Fitness, and is a Yoga Fit 200 RYT Instructor.
